This book introduces the last member to join and the most infrequently seen "Bob White' Dan Mangan.The mystery in this surrounds theft and Dan appears to be the main suspect.
I didn't like the idea of Dan as a character in this one (I take it was like a James Dean edgy character they were looking to add to the goody goody Bob White Gang but in this story he lacked something.) Not the best from the series and not the worse. The Dan character though often underutilised in the series ended up being a good edition in the long run. Rating:***
